What do you at the Mannawords website believe? Are you part of a particular denomination?

Thanks for the enquiry. Mike and Jean who run the Mannawords library/gallery/community website spent many years in an AOG church in Coventry UK before joining their local Anglican church in the 1970's during the Charismatic Renewal. After moving to another area they joined a free evangelical church for a number of years before moving nearly twenty years ago to what could be called a house-type fellowship and eventually forming part of the leadership team there. With a desire to follow a fresh vision they left the fellowship in 2008 and in 2009 joined Mosaic church in Coventry to which there is a link on our links page. Mannawords library/gallery/community doesn't have a "belief statetment" as such but, to answer your question, our belief could be fairly summarized in the Apostles Creed of the Anglican church. If you are not familiar with it here it is:- I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. We are not linked to a specific Christian denomination. Hope that answers your questions. Bless you.

Thanks for the info. It's interesting that you have moved around. One gains experience in that way. Bless you.

Anon makes a point about moving around but is that what Christians should really do? Isn't there a case for loyalty and faithfullness by staying in the church in which you were planted by the Lord? I think we should not encourage moving from church to church too much.

Get your point Julie. We are not into encouraging church hopping. The fact remains, though, that God does sometimes move us around. We might not always be absolutely certain at the time that it is God who is prompting us to move and it's possible to make a mistake. Therefore, it is wise always to leave a church on the best of terms so that, if you got it wrong, there's never a problem moving back! Also, when leaving on good terms there's never any embarrassment in going back to your previous church for special meetings and such like.
